Just like our old Week 1...

So our pre-write and story fleshing out week is over.  Hopefully, you got most of what you needed for a great story.  Now we get down to business - writing.  We missed out on Monday so it may seem like it's happening fast, but tonight rough drafts are due for those publishing this week.  Which means photos are due tomorrow and final drafts are due Thursday.  Be sure you've shared your pieces to Carley and your section editor.  Looking forward to a great week!

A fresh start...

This begins our first official 3-week cycle. 

• Week 1 - Monday - prewrites are due by 8pm and story development is expected throughout
                  the week.  Schedule interviews, make contacts, research information, etc.  Also,
                  follow-up from last week's work - any need to see me to finalize multimedia.
  
• Week 2 - Tuesday - rough drafts due by 8pm for those publishing in round 1
                 Wednesday - photo/multimedia due by 8pm
                 Thursday - final drafts due by 8pm
  
• Week 3 - Tuesday - rough drafts due by 8pm for those publishing in round 2
                 Wednesday - photo/multimedia due by 8pm
                 Thursday - final drafts due by 8pm

You have lots of time to develop a story.  I shouldn't be hearing that you don't have what you need on the dates they are due.  If you have issues, you need to communicate about them ASAP.

 

Our First Week 3

Okay so this week will work just like our previous "Week 2" of publication set up did.  However, we do have an unusual issue.  We don't have school on Friday so let's see what we can bang out before then.  For technicality sake, rough drafts are due on Tuesday, photos Wednesday and final drafts Thursday.
